Our waste transfer stations are temporary holding facilities where waste goes to be sorted and then sent to a landfill or recycling facility. This sorting process allows your waste to be handled more efficiently and is an important part of our commitment to environmental stewardship.

The operation of solid waste management facilities, including their construction and modification, requires permits from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). Our Twin Cities Area Transfer Station operates under MPCA Permit #SW-439.
